Copy editing is sometimes known as line editing. A copy editor will ensure your manuscript is correct in terms of spelling and grammar, consistency, and continuity. He or she will go through the document in detail and mark-up the manuscript. This stage of editing is the final stage and for writers feeling unable to polish the manuscript themselves.
