About the event
Meet this year's Pitch Prize judges, literary agents Kat Aitken and Seren Adams, co-founders of Lexington Literary Agency. They'll introduce themselves, tell us what they're looking for in a pitch, opening and synopsis and share their insights into the current publishing market. You will learn first hand what it takes to stand out and receive tips and advice that can help you hone your own pitch in advance of entering our Pitch Prize.
After the Q&A, we'll open the floor to your questions — about the competition, approaching agents, the industry and everything in between. Is there something you've always wanted to ask a literary agent? This is your chance! Pop your questions into the chat box, and Seren and Kat will answer as many as they can.

We’re offering a minimum of 20 free entries for UK based writers on low incomes or from communities currently under-represented in publishing. Applications will be reviewed and the most promising submissions will be selected by the BPA team.
