About the event

Our judges for the Short Story Award answer your questions, live on zoom! Get the inside track on submitting to this brand new prize.

When it comes to agent submissions, it really helps your chances to have a prize listing. Short stories are a great way to get your work out there and get noticed by agents. Corissa Hollenbeck, literary agent at Janklow & Nesbitt, and writer Sussie Anie will share their industry insights, offering practical advice and tips on how to refine your work and make it stand out. They’ll discuss what catches their attention in competition entries, as well as give insight and advice from their own experience as agent and writer.

This event will be especially useful for anyone planning to enter the Short Story Award, but will also include valuable tips on submitting to literary agents and competitions more broadly.
