Write Human: Build Your Literary Toolkit - Part One
In the first of three evenings at Bard Books, BPA directors Sara and Frances are joined by bestselling novelist Saskia Sarginson to work out what voice actually means on the page - how it grows out of a character's particular way of seeing the world, and how you find yours. Where does a character's perspective end and the writer's begin? Why does so much competent prose still read as flat? And when AI can produce serviceable sentences on demand, what can only a human put into a scene?
Informal and friendly workshop with writing exercises and editorial feedback on the night. Whatever stage you are at, come along to meet other writers and editors and hone your craft.
