Write Human: Build Your Literary Toolkit - Part Three
In the third and final evening at Bard Books, BPA directors Sara and Frances are joined by bestselling novelist Louise Doughty to talk about how a novel holds together and what actually keeps a reader turning the pages. Across Apple Tree Yard, Platform Seven and a career built on suspense, Louise has spent years working out where to place information and how long to withhold it. She’ll also talk about her new memoir, On This Spot Fell One Tear of Love, and what changes when the story you’re structuring is a true one.
Bring your work in progress and we’ll get stuck in with a couple of plotting exercises. Louise and our BPA editors will give you feedback on the night. We want to get to know you and your stories!
